Coaching

As an actor, I've always loved working with fellow actors and collaborating creatively. But it was when I started working as a casting director, that I found my love of working with actors by directing, teaching, and helping them. As I've continued acting and working as a casting director, I started directing in a theatre company and then started teaching acting classes and coaching actors privately in studios and schools all around NYC. I've worked with actors at all skill levels, from beginners to veterans, and I also work with students of all ages - from young children to people coming to acting long after retirement. The joy that I get from helping my fellow actors is indescribable.

When I teach children, I am very in touch with my own experience as a child. Being a kid isn't always easy, so I think it is profoundly important to not only have their experience be one of learning and exploring their creativity and talent, but also one that should be fun. I believe it must be a safe space where we can feel free to mess up and do it wrong. If we can't stumble, and we're always trying to do it "right", how can we ever grow? I feel we can learn so much about ourselves while growing up that can make us second guess our instincts and our very selves. I want nothing more than for these kids to feel great about themselves and to build their talent and self esteem in a safe environment.

Working with adults is different but equally as amazing. We can get to the crux of anything by exploring our humanity. Each actor is entirely different, and my instincts tell me how to work with each individual to try and help each actor find what works for them - specifically, because no two actors are the same.

I never knew anything else in the world could bring me joy the way acting does, until I found directing and teaching. Working with you guys makes my life infinitely better.
